Roll the Dice

Mist rolls off the mountain

As I walk this dusty road

Into the great wide open

Carrying this heavy load

They say the grass is greener

On the far side of the hill

Gonna roll the dice

No time to kill

South bound on that freight train

Gonna roll it on down that track

I won’t look behind me

I aint’ ever turning back

Gonna ride those wheels of fortune

Ride ‘em out into the night

Gonna hold my cards real close

And roll the dice

Oh the desert sun is setting

And the light is growing dim

I ask myself the question

What you ever saw in him

But there ain’t no use in livin’

If you’re livin’ with regret

Gonna roll the dice

And make my bet

Rolling into Vegas

Rollin with the king

Sitting at the tables

I can hear him start to sing

He’s singin’ love me tender

He’s singin’ don’t be cruel

He’s singin’

Now and then there’s such a fool

Oh the desert sun is setting

Yeah’ the sun is going down

And I ask myself the question

What am I doin’ in this town

But there ain’t no use in livin’

If you’re livin’ with regret

Gonna roll the dice

And make my bet

Oh the desert sun is setting

And the light is growing dim

And I ask myself the question

What you ever saw in him

Could have been so good together

But you left me with no choice

When you played the queen of hearts

You rolled the dice

When you played the queen of hearts

You rolled the dice
